Sep 1

There are many different ways to level up your farming skill in OSRS that you can choose from, but some of these methods take much more time than others. This OSRS farming guide will attempt to curate some important information and provide players with their easiest method from Level 1 - 99 Farming!

Things You'll Need For OSRS Farming

  • Rake - To remove weeds from patches
  • Watering Can - To water your plants/crops
  • Seed Dibber - Used to plant seeds
  • Spade - To clear dead crops or use for harvesting
  • Secateurs - To cut away diseased branches
  • Gardening Trowel - To fill pots with soil

Farming is an excellent way to make money, but it requires some preparation. If you want the best tools for your farming endeavors, then head on over to Sarah's Farming Shop in Falador. There are many items that will help immensely with raising crops and harvesting them efficiently.

How To Level Up Farming In OSRS

One of the best things to do before starting out in Farming is planting seeds on allotment patches. The process here can be repetitive and slow, but that’s farming for you! Potatoes should always be planted at level one through five because they award players with a lot more experience points than other crops like cabbages or onions; however, there are certain levels when it becomes better to use only onion plants- from level 5 until 15 it's much smarter not to plant potatoes anymore (they give less exp) and just goes for all those sweet onion rewards instead. It also never hurts if you hire some local farmers as bodyguards - these guys will protect your precious crops so well while still letting them grow nice and big.

One of the best ways to gain Farming levels is through tree and herb runs. Unlike allotment farming, these tasks are significantly slower due to their long growing periods but you can get better rewards on them. On average, it takes 8 hours for a tree or herb plant run to complete fully - so you have plenty of time on your hands. Use this opportunity wisely by completing OSRS quests in-between trees to maximize efficiency with little effort.
