Sheathing

Roof trusses

They help support the roof's weight and are linked with ridge boards that are fastened to the rafter boards. Rafter boards are generally covered with insulation or another material and fastened to the sides of the trusses. If the trusses are of greater width than beams on the ridge, rafter boards is able to be replaced with ridge beams.
Roof underlayment
